Lunch was HK wonton soup from the food court, and it was $5.99 plus tax of goodness. Very tasty indeed. Didn't have the camera on us to take a pic though. I believe it is sitting on the fireplace at the McGregor's house with some New Years evidence on it.
Supermarket shopping is always an eyeopener after new years, and very difficult without an income but we still managed to rack up $106 worth of groceries. It always amazes me how prices differ in different countries. Some things are cheap, some things are filthy expensive. Like dairy here. A six pack of yoghurt is around the $5 mark, and cheese is even more expensive. A standard baggie of grated goodness is over $6. Lobster was on sale but alas we have to wait to be paid before going nuts on recipes. We settled for two pieces of salmon for $7. I am looking forward to an income as I have some recipes picked out to have a crack at. I need to find a good butcher here.
Anyway, for dinner we had mini pizzas on pitas with zucchini, ham, pineapple & mushroom with some feta. Very tasty indeed, and simple, I didn't have the energy for the kitchen today.
I am already thinking of lunch and dinner tomorrow... It is always nice to have a stocked fridge, eh?
EDIT: just snacked on sugar snap peas & sweet potato hummus and a handful of almonds. Mmmmm.
