Another boring day today, sorry...

Breakfast was half a grapefruit. No surprises there. Had a fruit salad of berries & greek yogurt with some honey and crushed walnuts when I got in to work. Yesterday I saw a groundhog on my cycle to work:

Today I saw a beaver! Man, Canada just keeps getting better! They are soooo cute.

Don't worry, I didn't plough my bike into them and serve up stuffed Canadian mascots for dinner. Nearly ploughed my bike into the gutter a few times from gawking at them though. And I can't take credit for the photos either, I was too busy trying to stay on my bike to whip out camera.

Anyway, back to food. I had some of that left over chickpea & spinach paste on ryvitas today with some avocado (that's all that was left in the fridge). And that's it. I am digging the chickpea paste, its really tasty stuff and normally extremely filling. But a spoon of that and a few pissy ryvitas didn't cut it.

By the time I got home I was starving, so do you know what I had for dinner? You will never guess... Lasagne, and green bean salad, again! Man that lasagne is a gift that just keeps giving. I don't remember a tray of it lasting for this long for two people. Maybe our portion size is getting smaller? Nah, that can't be it!

I promise something new for tomorrow. Well, maybe not 'new' but something different than the last three days anyway. I am already menu planning for Friday, looks like mezze is the clear winner, but won't grocery shop until the last minute, you never know! If you haven't already voted, please do -> top left. Thanks!

In the mean time it might be a good time to share something I came across recently that I am totally smitten by but will probably never buy or use. Check out this gorgeous pasta!

Isn't it beautiful?! I think the lasagne sheets could be wasted, you wouldn't really get the pretty view, but the rest? Oh my gosh, so deliciously adorable! I keep dreaming up how I would serve it or what with. I think maybe a limoncello sauce and throw in some fresh prawns on scallops. Or both. And some pancetta. Cor... Yum.

Wow !!!! Love that pasta. You really have to lash out and buy some. Imagine a white lasagne. Evidently Mel makes one that is incredibly yum. I think it's called Blonde lasagne. Better ask her. Anyway just buy some and worry about how to use later. Prawns and scallops. Yum.
