The pizza last night was pretty good. They were small (normally when you order medium here you get big mother pizzas to feed four people) and the bases weren't thick and heavy, but we both agreed they could have cooked them a little longer to crisp up the bases a bit. I cant wait to buy a pizza stone and start making my own. I love pizza, just like I love burgers, its a dangerous passion!
On the downside of all that, I had two leftover slices for breakfast. No good Anna, you shouldn't have done that. I think where my mind is at the moment is definitely coming out in the food I am eating, so looking forward to picking that up and going back to healthier stuff.
Today is pay day so Lee was meant to go out for lunch with work mates, however nothing came of that so he came home instead and picked up some massive chicken pita rolls on the way from the Pita Factory. They were HUGE, and contained grilled chicken, alfalfa, capsicum, lettuce and onion with a smidge of light tzatziki. Delicious, but huge! Loving that it was filled with undressed salad. Cheaper and healthier than Subway.
I was meant to have a box of soup and my grapefruit but much happier it worked out this way.
Tonight we are heading back to the McGregor's and thinking of going out for some Vietnamese - great price, great food, not too fatty, so why not eh? I could murder a pho, especially after talking to Vickie for two hours yesterday, who is back in Melbourne for a short stint before moving to Asia somewhere. I am already looking forward to our conversations about food, I loved hearing about what she was eating through their travels, especially in Nam.
Tomorrow is cooking challenge day, so will be busy grocery shopping for that, and will be doing it in Guelph. Krista and Jad come home on Sunday, we will be sad to hand over Sophie but happy to get our mates back as well!
