Breakfast was two ryvitas with natural peanut butter. You can tell I forgot to buy fruit from the supermarket eh?

Lunch was avocado mixed with some goats cheese, tomatos, served on ryvitas with ham on top. Look familiar? That's because the majority of my lunches look like this!

Dinner is rissoles and salad. So I am tipping lunch tomorrow is rissoles and salad. I will confirm later on, I am currently still at work.

In other food related topics, I have asked another volunteer at the FoodBank if she would like to catch up before the next meeting to go over some recipes, so we are meeting next Tuesday which will be good. There have been a few challenges with the recipe book, I think as a group we started to overshoot our goal, and started to get really complicated, which it shouldn't be. Considering our demographic is low to no income earners, and those relying on the FoodBank to eat, I think we started to get caught up. It is harder than you think to come up with recipes for meals to feed everyone from children to whole families, to single adults, to the elderly. For those who have no cooking equipment or tools, people who may not speak English, people who may have never cooked a day in their lives, people with no energy as they have money to eat. Trying to make the healthiest recipes possible including food that will last the longest, with limited food and tools required, its quite a mission. I am still focused though and hope to be back on track with the group soon. Seriously, if you have cheap recipe ideas, send them my way. People keep suggesting cheese on toast, but considering a loaf of bread here is about $2, and a block of cheese is around the $8, this isn't really suitable.

In other food news, the HR team at work are having a 'pot luck' lunch, and the theme is 'cultural'. Now I am completely stuffed for ideas as to what to bring in that's cultural. I wish I had a raclette set, but having said that, its a pricey show to put on for 30+ people. I am pretty sure curry is going to be a big theme, and not sure reheated Aussie burgers would do the trick. What do you think? Any suggestions?!
